Mürüvvet YAPRAK

I’m Mürüvvet YAPRAK, I’m 74 years old. I’m living in my hometown, Cide/KASTAMONU with my 94-year-old mother. I have seen bad days during my life, but I have never given up and I have earned everything I have by fighting hard all my life. And I’m so happy I could.

I have started my fight when I was a little kid. I went to Istanbul by leaving my hometown after I finished my education. I pursued my struggle for life by working for 7 years at Mustafa Nevzat Pharmaceutical Plant, 3 years in textile sector and other places.

I bought 2 houses in Cide, my hometown with all my savings. I wanted to donate them to a charity. As a result, I have chosen TAFF in accordance with my values.

As a result of my thoughts that Atatürk left this beautiful country to us, that you can’t be sure of anything about the enemies like in the Independence War, that our army should be very strong to keep our country safe and sound, I decided to donate my homes to TAFF which works to strengthen our army with all the possible means. I’m very happy for the donation I’ve made.

I don’t have any kids, but I would donate my homes even if I had kids. Because I have earned everything I have by working so hard. I would want them to earn their own assets too. I would definitely go to army without thinking about my age if they needed us. I would try to be useful for my country even at least by peeling potatoes even if I couldn’t do anything else.

We wouldn’t exist without this country, may the God keep our army strong and with us.
