MICROWAVE ELECTRONIC SYSTEMS

MiKES Microwave Electronic Systems, established in 1987 in the field of defence electronics, has been active in developing its expertise in the design, development and production of state-of-the-art Electronic Warfare Systems, in particular airborne platforms, primarily for the Turkish Armed Forces but also for the international defence industry.

MiKES provides the fighter aircraft of Turkish Air Force with Radar Warning Receivers and Electronic Countermeasure systems, and Countermeasure Dispensing Systems for Turkish Air Force helicopters.  The systems have proved their suitability for the difficult operational needs of the Turkish Armed Forces, with testing in compliance with world standards and also with actual performance on operations.

The AN-ALQ-178 Electronic Warfare systems provided by MÝKES are used in PO-I Blok 30/40 F-16 C/D, F-4E 2020 and GAF/RF-4 aircraft. And its last generation version is currently being integrated to Block 50+ F-16 C aircraft in accordance with the PO-III modernization program.

All the systems are designed and produced at the MiKES facilities near Ankara Esenboga Airport on 7,000 m² of floor space (2000 m² office space, and 5000 m² production and laboratory). The facility has a signal proof (TEMPEST) software laboratory (the security of its production is TOP SECRET) and it is also protected with comprehensive physical security measures.
